LINDISFARNE CRICKET CLUB

Lindisfarne Cricket Club (LCC), also known as "The Lightning", is a premier grade level cricket club representing Lindisfarne in the Cricket Tasmania Premier League. The LCC play their home games at Anzac Park, in Lindisfarne, a suburb of the City of Clarence.

Lindisfarne were formed in 1891 and originally played in the Clarence Cricket Association. They then joined the Southern Suburban Cricket Association in 1947, and were admitted into the TCA Grade Competition in 1992. It took Lindisfarne 9 years to win their first premiership in 2000-01. Lindisfarne followed this up again in 2010-11 winning it's second first-grade premiership. [1]

Many First Class players have played for Lindisfarne including Jamie Cox, Rod Tucker, Colin Miller, Shane Watson and Jason Krejza.

The club has also produced many legends of lower grades such as Bruce Johnson, Barry Duvall, Nathan Wilson, Mark Waddington and Kim Dillon.

LCC currently field 3 Senior Men Teams, a Womens Team and Youth Teams from U17's to grade 3-4. LCC also field a 4th grade Men's side in the STCA.
